In the over heated state the heater doesn't work and after I rev it the heater works before the temp starts to rise again.
I already replaced the antifreeze resevoir, the temp sensor, and the thermostat. I also flushed the system to make sure there were no clogs. My car shows error code P00B7. Not sure what the problem is can someone help? Check the coolant level and purge air out of the system. If that does not do it the water pump may need replacing.
David answered 2 years ago. You could have a blown intake gasket open hood after engine reaches normal temp see if u smell antifreeze and look on both sides of engine for places that are wet it will be coming from in between head and intake also be water pump I've seen a few that the fins on impeller will rust away and makes the pump unable to circulate the coolant hope this helps. Try bleeding air from system like this. Remove cap from overflow tank fill with antifreeze to full mark leave cap off and start vehicle and let idle you will notice level in tank start to rise this is normal once thermostat starts to open level in tank will drop add more antifreeze to full mark then put cap back on.
Samz answered 2 years ago. Yes I have bled the system, there should be no air in it I also took off the water pump to look and see if that was the problem and it seems just fine to me. I've noticed that when the car is in neutral and I keep it at rpms the temperature stays at normal operating temperature. Guru69F5L answered 7 months ago. My radiator sensor states my AC is shut off due to engine overheating, but my temp. So these 2 are not matching information.
Radiator overflow tank is full, oil is fine Any suggestions? In the over heated state the heater doesn't work and after I rev it the heater works before the temp starts to rise again I have a different car.Nine problems related to coolant leaking have been reported for the Chevrolet Cruze. I looked under the hood and noticed it boiling at the tank. I did replace the reservoir a few months back due to the fact it had a crack in it and was leaking coolant. Did a flush and when I added new coolant I burped the system as I was told. Everything has been fine until that night. I let the car sit over night purchased a new cap and checked the car and the coolant level was low so I topped it off put the new cap and took it for a spin.
After some time of driving everything seemed good until at one point I came to a stop and I noticed some smoke. I parked and turned it off and seen coolant on the side of the engine That came from the reservoir which was boiling again. I noticed as well there was some coolant that leaked from the coolant temperature sensors, but was told that wouldn't have a major issue from the guy at Autozone which he was the one who said replace the cap in the first place stating it could be a pressure problem.
Also someone recommend replacing the thermostat so I will be changing that as well as the coolant sensor this week and dumping out the coolant and flushing it again but is there anything I should know about this issue? Could it be something else or is this the symptom of something else? At this point I'm not driving the car I don't want to cause anymore damage. Also I checked the coolant level now and it's almost empty at the tank. Will the coolant level being low have something to do with the boiling?
In addition to the other suggestions, it might be a good idea to check to see if there is any coolant coming from the weep hole of the water pump. If your water pump is bad or on its way out, it won't circulate the coolant enough to keep it cool.
There are several possible problems. The leak from the temp. You may have clogs in the radiator in some places, causing it to boil into the reservoir.
